POONCH, JANUARY 10: A 5 day training programme for Civil Defence wardens and Volunteers commenced here today.
District Development Commissioner Rahul Yadav, Area Commander Civil Defence Poonch DSP Keval Krishan, trainers from SDRF besides CD wardens and volunteers attended the programme.
While speaking on the occasion, DDC threw light on the importance of Civil Defence training to first responders in case of any disaster or natural calamity. He said the first responder plays a significant role in saving precious lives in case of a disaster. He also made a mention of three main aspects of Civil defence namely Disaster Mitigation, Disaster Preparation and Response.
Civil Defence trainer, Head Constable Vikas Sharma, explained in detail the things to do in order to give pre medical treatment to the victims of a disaster. He also shared the techniques and methods for providing First aid to the victims before they reach the hospital.
During the 5 day training, the CD wardens and volunteers will be imparted training in different areas of civil defence as first responders.
