Chandigarh, September 10: Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kunwar Pal Gujjar on Tuesday disqualified all five INLD MLAs who actively supported the JJP and the Congress.
The MLAs were disqualified under the anti-defection law. The MLAs are Naina Chautala, Prithvi Singh, Rajdeep Phogat and Anoop Dhanak.
INLD MLA Naseem Ahmed, who joined the Congress, and then later joined the BJP has also been disqualified.
INLD leader Abhay Chautala had filed a petition seeking disqualification of all the five MLAs.
In a separate decision, the Speaker has designated Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda as the Leader of Opposition, after party MLAs passed a resolution reposing their faith in him after he took over as CLP leader.
