Government forces on Monday launched a cordon and search operation at a village in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
A police official said that mixed columns of army personnel, SOG and CRPF men launched a search operation in Arihal village of the district at around 8:40 AM.
“The operation was launched after forces received inputs about the presence of militants in the area,” the official said.
He said all the entry and exit points of the village were sealed and door to door searches conducted.
The operation was in progress when this report was being filed.
