JAMMU: The ongoing rift between two employees unions of Jammu and Kashmir Civil Secretariat was exhibited on the social media platform with workers affiliated with both sides posting comments against each-other on Facebook.
While one of the keyboard warriors claimed to have lodged a formal complaint against the others, the police said it is yet to receive any such complaint.
The infighting among the employees of the Civil Secretariat has hampered the routine work in the seat of the government for quite a long time, now.
The latest rift among them came to lamelight when some employees under the banner of Civil Secretariat Non Gazetted Employees (CSNGE) took to social media and posted some comments against Ghulam Rasool Mir, the President of Jammu and Kashmir Civil Secretariat Employees Union (JKCSEU) and its Secretary Muzafar Wani.

Stalling of Union Election# abusing and beating of employees, creating# fear psychosis is a part of sinister design. They are one just hoodwinking employees# Team A led by MR Gh. Rasool Mir, # Team B led by Mr Muzafar Wani got exposed as they consented in court to demolish union. Now, Team #C is being created about which employees will be informed soon,” the FB post read.
“Further, it is condemnable that Mr Thana Ji Bhat (General Secretary Jammu and Kashmir Civil Secretariat Employees Union) is threatening employees using foul language. The big wrong doing by Thana Ji Bhat will be made public soon. Chief Secretary is appealed to take all legal remedies to get stay vacated and held on proposed date –15 April 2019,” the post reads.
In this regard, General Secretary, JKCSEU, Thanna Ji Bhat lodged complaint with the police alleging there in that some goons under the banner of Civil Secretariat Non Gazetted Employees Union made personal attack on him through social media.
He said that by posting hateful comments, the miscreants have violated the J&K Employees Conduct Rules 2018 hence they should be brought book under cyber crime.
Meanwhile, City Police said that they have not received any complaint yet.
