A soldier was wounded in a firing incident near the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday, officials said.
An official said that a soldier posted in a forward area in Keri area of Rajouri was wounded after being hit by sniper fire from across the LoC.
The injured soldier was shifted to a medical facility where from he was airlifted to an army hospital for specialized treatment.
