Baramulla, Mar 13: Property worth lakhs of rupees was damaged in a devastating fire in Sopore in north Kashmir district in the wee hours of Wednesday, official sources said.
They said the fire broke out in a house at Chanakhan, Sopore, in the wee hours.
However, fire spread to nearby houses before the fire officials could reach the spot.
They said four houses and as many shops and other property were damaged in the fire. However, the cause of fire was being ascertained, they said adding police has registered a case and initiated proceedings.
