DDC Ganderbal reviews progress on languishing projects

GANDERBAL, MAY 14: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal Hashmat Ali Khan today convened a meeting to review the work on various ongoing languishing projects in the district here at Mini Secretariat Ganderbal.

Detailed discussions were held on the issues hampering the progress  on languishing projects which are under execution of several agencies including PHE, R&B, JKPCC, SICOP and Housing Board.

DDC sought the physical as well as financial progress from the concerned executing agencies of all the languishing projects. He also reviewed the technical sanctioning, administrative approval and tendering progress of several projects.

The meeting was informed that 85% work done on Unani Medical College and Hospital Nawabagh is completed and 80% work done on PHC Ganiwan, Kangan is completed which are under execution  of Housing Board.

While reviewing the progress of projects in education sector, DDC asked the CEO to ensure 100% basic facilities like water supply, electricity and toilet facilities in all Government schools of the district.

The DDC impressed upon the officers to speed up the pace of work on these projects and ensure the completion of the languishing projects within the stipulated time frame.

He also stressed on judicious use of funds besides, the quality material on the works taken up under various sectors in the district.

The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Chief Planning Officer, Principal Polytechnic College,  Principal Degree College Kangan and Ganderbal, Chief Education Officer, Executive Engineers PHE and R&B, EO Municipality, CMO besides representatives from JKPCC, SICOP and Housing Board
