Srinagar: Army on Tuesday allegedly manhandled a sub-divisional magistrate (SDM) and damaged his official vehicle after an argument with an Army officer in Ujroo area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
Reports said SDM Duroo, Ghulam Rasool Wani had an argument with an army officer after he was stopped by the force while he was on his way to Qazigund.
They said that Duroo was thrashed by the army soldiers following which the deputy commissioner Anantnag rushed to the spot.
When contacted, defence spokesman Rajesh Kalia said the details were being ascertained by the army.
