Prominent Shia cleric and senior Hurriyat (M) leader Abbas Ansari on Monday asked the government to withdraw his personal security.
The move comes just a day after the government withdrew security of five separatist leaders including Hurriyat (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq.
“I have been directed to convey to your goodself that the personal security issued to Maulana Muhammad Abbas Ansari by the government be withdrawn forthwith. We will not provide any accommodation the security personal (sic) forthwith,” said a letter written to SSP Srinagar by personal secretary of the Shia leader.
