Lok Sabha polls: Kashmir shuts, mobile Internet suspended

Jammu & Kashmir: A complete shutdown is being observed on Thursday across the Kashmir valley in wake of second phase of Lok Sabha polls.

All the business establishments remained closed in Srinagar while traffic was off the roads. Heavy deployment of the police and paramilitary forces has been made at all the sensitive places across the Srinagar-Budgam parliamentary constituency seat which is going to polls today.

Twelve candidates are in fray for the Srinagar-Budgam parliamentary constituency seat.

Reports of shutdown were also received from other district headquarters of the valley.
