The Election Commission on Saturday announced the dates for Maharashtra and Haryana assembly elections. Both the states will go into polls in single phase with polling on October 21. The counting will be held in both states on October 24.
The Model Code of Conduct comes into effect after the announcement of dates.
While the term of 288-member Maharashtra assembly ends on November 9, that of the 90-member Haryana assembly expires on November 2
