Srinagar, April 22: A youth had to be hospitalised after he was allegedly thrashed by the security forces during a search operation in Avend-Rawalpora village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Monday.
Reports said Sartaj Ahmad Bhat was injured after he was beaten up by the forces during the operation. He was shifted to District Hospital Shopian for treatment, they said.
An official said that the search operation was launched jointly the army, police and the CRPF following inputs about the presence of militants.
