Mumbai, June 22: Shahid Kapoor is on cloud nine these days. The actor’s latest release Kabir Singh is doing wonders at the box office. Fans thronged the theatres in large numbers on the first day, thus giving the film a huge opening. It minted Rs 17 crore (approx) on its opening day.
Shahid has been in the industry for a long time and has witnessed rise of many of his younger colleagues. His favourite seems to be Varun Dhawan as the Udta Punjab was all praises for Varun in a recent interview with Zoom.
Shahid said, “Varun Dhawan has great parents. I feel like his parents have given him some really good positive energy and and it reflects in him every day. I think he is one of the most positive kids I’ve seen around.”
Varun is currently shooting of his upcoming film Street Dancer 3D. He is starring in the film with Shraddha Kapoor and Nora Fatehi.
Coming back to Shahid’s Kabir Singh, the film is the remake of Telugu film Arjun Reddy. It tells the story of a medical student who goes on a path of self-destruction after the love of his life gets married to someone else.
