Srinagar: An army soldier who was wounded in cross-LoC shelling on Saturday in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir succumbed today.
The army soldier was posted on LoC duty in Poonch where he received injuries on Saturday evening in cross border firing and was shifted to Poonch army hospital for treatment.
However, he succumbed to injuries at Poonch army hospital during the previous night.
On Saturday evening, intense cross border firing and shelling took place in Shahpur and Kirni areas.
