Kishtwar: National Conference workers from Marwah today accused their party sitting legislator and senior party leaders of looting CDF meant for development of area.
In a press conference NC workers led by Jalil Ahmed Malik today the NC leaders from Marwah said that the party leaders have failed them and instead looted the money meant for them.
Around Rs 74 lakh CDF has been shown to be utilised by our MLC Sajad Kichloo in 2018. This amount has been released into the account of kins of NC Vice President Ghulam Rasool Magray. The amount has been released without execution of works and embezelled by the beneficiaries, they said.
They said that in reply to RTI Rural Development Deptt has revealed that huge amount has been released in the name of NC leaders who have been shown as vendors under NEREGA.
Besides this three Congress MLCs, 2 BJP MLCs and BJP MLA have also spent CDF worth crores in Marwah but no work has been executed on ground.
They said that NC leaders have cheated their own party workers and public for which they must be held accountable. “We urged party president Omar Abdullah and state administration to probe the matter to provide justice”.
They said that crores of CDF money has been utilised by party legislator in our area in last four years alone but it has been embezelled. “If we take his tenure as MLA in to account tland funds shown to have been utilised the amount will be in crores”.
