Chandigarh, September 25: The Aam Aadmi Party on Wednesday announced its candidates for the by-elections in four Punjab assembly seats. The decision was taken in a core committee meeting of the party.
Amandeep Singh Mohi in Dakha, Gurdhian Singh Multani in Mukerian, Mahinder Singh Kachura in Jalalabad and Santosh Kumar Gogi in Phagwara will contest on an AAP ticket in the bypolls.
The names will be sent to the Political Affairs Committee (PAC) of AAP in Delhi, who will announce the names formally, said Bhagwant Mann, president of AAP Punjab.
Mann said he will campaign at all four places and that the candidates were volunteers of the party.
He added that PAC had given them verbal approval, after the decision of the core committee was conveyed to them.
