Lok Adalat held at Shopian
SHOPIAN, MARCH 25: A Lok Adalat was held today in the premises of District Court Complex Shopian under the chairmanship of District Legal Services Authority Shopian A K Shavan.
125 cases of different nature including Pre-Litigation were taken up, out of which 94 cases were settled by mediation and reconciliation. An amount of Rs 16000 was recovered as fine and Rs 6,00,000 was realised as recovery. Besides as amount of Rs 14,03,000 was realised from defaulters in bank recovery cases.
Bar member’s litigants, staff members, senior district officers of the District Administration and other prominent citizens attended the Lok Adalat.
