New Delhi: Punjabi playback singer Daler Singh a.k.a Daler Mehndi today joined the Bhartiya Janata Party amid the Lok Sabha election.
Mehndi joined BJP in presence of Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari, BJP Lok Sabha candidate Hans Raj Hans, Union Minister Harshvardhan and Vijay Goel.
Daler Mehndi is popularly known for ‘Tunak Tunak Tun’ and ‘Bolo Tara Tara’ songs. In March 2018, Mehndi was sentenced to 2-years in prison by Patiala court in a human trafficking case.
Earlier Hans Raj Hans and Sunny Deol also joined the BJP, the inclusion of these Bollywood celebrities will strengthen the party in the Punjab Lok Sabha polls.
