Poonch admin discusses Ramzan arrangements
POONH APRIL 27: District Development Commissioner, Rahul yadav today chaired a meeting of officers and representatives of religious organizations to discuss arrangements for holy month of Ramzan.
Additional Superintendent of Police, Adil Hamid, ACR Bashir Ahmed Lone and other officers were present in the meeting.
The representatives of the religious organizations apprised DDC about their demands. They sought uninterrupted water and power supply, security arrangements, better sanitation and strict check on quality and rates of essential commodities and vegetables.
The DDC instructed Executive Officers of MC to ensure cleanliness and sanitation in and around Mosques and Eidgahs.
The legal metrology, Food safety and Municipality authorities were asked to work in synergy to carry out market checking to monitor quality of eatables besides keeping a strict vigil on overcharging of commodities. He asked the officers of food and supply department to ensure adequate supply of ration during Ramzan. Medical Superintendent district hospital was asked to provide Ambulance and better health facility during Holy days.
PDD and PHE departments were asked to ensure adequate power and water supply.
