Jammu: Directorate Of School Education Jammu celebrated the 70th Constitution Day across all the districts of Jammu division to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India and to honour and acknowledge the contribution of the Founding Fathers of the Constitution.
Students and staff of all the schools of Jammu region participated in the event to raise awareness about the Indian Constitution and took oath by reading out the Preamble and pledged to uphoald the the Constitution of India with utmost fervour.
The importance of Constitution and its Preamble was highlighted by emphasizing that these set out guidelines, which direct the people of the nation and are a source of hope, ambitions and aspirations for them.
Commissioner Secretary Ms. Sarita Chouhan, who was in Panchayat Mathwar in connection with Back To Village-2 visited various schools of the area including Government Higher Secondary School Mathwar where she participated in the oath taking ceremony whereas Director School Education Jammu, Ms. Anurdha Gupta who was in Panchayat Murallian joined the students of various schools in area and took the oath with them.
Chief Education Officers organised and guided the event in their respective districts.
