Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested a militant of Hizb ul Mujahideen from Bijbehara area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
A police spokesman said that the police and the forces arrested a militant following a “credible” input. He said the militant, namely, Rameez Ahmad Dar of Kulgam district was active from past one-and-a-half-year.
He is affiliated with proscribed outfit HM, said the spokesman. “Arms and ammunition were recovered from his possession,” he added.
