A youth was injured after being shot at by unknown gunmen in Midoora village of Tral in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday night.
Muzaffar Ahmad Hajam (24), son of Mohammad Amin Hajam of Midoora was fired upon by masked gunmen outside his maternal home at Hajam Mohalla in the main town, reported news agency.
Hajam was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors referred him to a hospital in Srinagar in a critical condition.
Quoting sources, the report said Hajam has received two bullet wounds, one in chest and another in thigh.
Soon after the incident a joint team of the army and SOG launched a cordon-and-search operation in the area to nab the assailants.
