Srinagar, Jan 29: A youth was injured when security forces (SFs) fired at a car after it jumped a checkpoint despite being signalled to stop in north Kashmir district of Baramulla.

Official sources on Tuesday said that the vehicle was signalled to stop at a checkpoint established by security forces at Wassun, Pattan in Baramulla.

When the vehicle didn’t stop and jumped the checkpoint, security forces fired few shots at the car. “One person, identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Parray, was injured,” they added.

They said of the other three persons onboard the vehicle, one managed to escape while the other two have been detained.
