Gurugram: The special task force (STF) headed by IG KK Rao has busted a five-member gang of notorious criminals wanted in a Rs 55-lakh extortion case.
The gang had allegedly extorted the sum from the owner of Pushpanjali Hospital here after abducting his son.
The gang, including proclaimed offenders and a UP state-level boxer, was generally active in UP, Rajasthan and Delhi. The accused have been identified as 34-year-old Jogender, the kingpin of the gang. The other accused include Shiv Kumar (28), Deepak (20), Kamal Malik (19) and Amitesh Chaubey, a pro-boxer.
