Bhaderwah March 29 : Department of Computer Sc & IT, Bhaderwah Campus University Of Jammu organized a series of guest lecturers where experts from Central University of Jammu and Kathua Campus University of Jammu were invited.
The visiting faculty gave lectures on various recent trends and technologies, machine learning, data science, theory of computation and data structures to the students of MCA 2nd, 4th, 6th semesters.
From the Central University of Jammu Dr. Yashwant Singh, (Associate professor and head) and Dr. Arvind Selwal, (Sr. Assistant Professor) were invited. From Kathua Campus Mr. Amit Sharma, Assistant Professor was invited.
During three day visit to Bhaderwah campus, the visiting faculty conducted multiple theory and lab session.
Latest techniques implemented in multinational companies with respect to data mining and warehousing, machine learning and knowledge accusation were discussed during the lectures.
Students were motivated to join multinational companies and peruse carrier in data science and data analytics which is in high demand these days.
Guest Faculty also interacted with the faculty member of MCA Deptt. Bhaderwah Campus and invited them to the Central University of Jammu for more discussions and research collaborations. They also extended their invitation to students to join the students studying in central university for joint projects.
The lecture series was coordinated by Dr. Jatinder Manhas Head Computer Sciences Bhaderwah Campus. Speaking on the occasion , Dr Manhas highlighted the achievements of the Computer science department Bhaderwah Campus. He thanked the Rector Bhaderwah Campus for extending his full cooperation and support in organizing such events.
Prof Anil Raina, Rector Bhaderwah Campus while thanking the Visiting faculty for sparing time to visit Bhaderwah Campus, he said that such types of events boost the morale of students and are very important for the overall personality development of students.
He said that in future also Bhaderwah Campus will organise such guest lectures which will helps the students to get updated information about their subject.
