Nidana (Rohtak), April 29:Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar turned emotional as he addressed a poll meeting at his native village Nidana in the Meham Assembly seat today. Recalling his childhood days, he said: “After Partition, my grandfather arrived at Nidana village in three sets of clothes and took to labour to feed the family.”
Wiping tears. he said he was sharing old memories with the village youth to tell them that “born on this soil, I am here not merely for this reason. I have come here to appeal to you that India is safe in the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who launched several policies for the poor and downtrodden, whereas the Congress is trying to weaken the country”.Without naming anybody, he targeted former CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda and his son Deepender Hooda, calling them “dynasts”. He called upon the villagers to end the political dynasty in Rohtak by ensuring the defeat of the father-son duo in the elections. Returning from the election meeting, Khattar stopped his cavalcade outside his ancestral house and touched the door-frame. This gesture of respect won him much admiration. The villagers could not stop talking about it.
Interacting with the media in Rohtak, the CM said PM Modi would address three rallies in Haryana, “a rally each in Fatehabad and Kurukshetra on May 8 and the third in Rohtak on May 10.”
