ED questions Farooq Abdullah in Chandigarh over J&K cricket scam

Chandigarh, July 31: The former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Farooq Abdullah appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Chandigarh on Wednesday.

Abdullah arrived at the ED office in Sector 18 in the afternoon.

Sources said that he was summoned for questioning in connection with the multi-crore Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association scam.

Abdullab was earlier interrogated by a team of the CBI in the alleged scam last year.  It is alleged Rs 113 crore was siphoned off from the association funds.

The CBI has already filed a chargesheet against Farooq Abdullah and three others for alleged misappropriation of funds by opening bogus bank accounts.
