Samba District brought under NFSM- Rice
JAMMU, MAY 02: The Central Government has agreed to include District Samba under the National Food Security Mission(NFSM) – Rice from the year 2020-21.
Giving the information, Principal Secretary to Government, Agriculture Production Department, Mr. Navin K. Choudhary, informed that now a total number of nine districts of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir are covered under National Food Security Mission – Rice which will enable them to secure funding for promotion of rice cultivation. He further informed that this decision has been taken by the Central Government on the request made by the Government of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
