Meeting of Association of Unaided CBSE Schools of Jammu region Held
Jammu: A meeting of the coordination committee of the Association of Unaided CBSE Schools of Jammu region was held today. The meeting was organised to decide about the future of the CBSE affiliated schools in light of the situation that has arisen due to COVID-19 pandemic. The meeting started with expressing thanks to the Government of UT of J&K for taking necessary steps for containing the pandemic and ensuring safety of the residents of the UT. The committee also expressed their gratitude towards Dr Asgar Samoon, Principal Secretary School Education for allowing Private schools to collect monthly Tuition fee and the Directorate School Education for taking steps in ensuring the viability and sustainability of the school during this time of crisis.
Keeping in view the provisions of the order of the School Education Department No. 100-Edu of 2020 Dtd 30/03/2020 the committee unanimously decided that the CBSE schools of the Jammu region shall A) Charge the fee as per the last years rates and there shall be no hike for the session 2020-21, which is a big relief for the parents. B) The fee shall be paid on monthly basis. However, if any parent wants to pay the fee on Quarterly, Bi-annual or annual basis they can do so as per their convenience C) The schools shall not charge any Annual Fee and Transportation charges for the Lockdown Period D) The fee portal of all schools shall be operational from 14th May 2020 and messages will be sent to the parents accordingly E) The schools shall ensure that the interest of the teachers is duly taken care off during the lockdown period F) The schools shall also not charge any late fee during the lockdown period G) Online classes shall continue to be operational during the lockdown period and their effectiveness shall be further improved.
The meeting ended with special thanks to all teachers, parents and students of all the schools who despite these trying circumstances are doing their best to ensure the continuity of the educational process and contributing to the overall growth of the nation. They also expressed gratitude especially towards the parents for whole heartedly supporting the educational community at large.
