Srinagar, June 12: A newly recruited militant of Lashkar-e-Toiba(LeT) was arrested by security forces in South Kashmir’s Shopian district, police said on Friday.
The militant was arrested after a cordon-and-search operation (CASO) in Zainpora during the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday.
“On specific information, a CASO was launched in which one terrorist namely Zahir Hussain Khan of Lashkar was apprehended along with one pistol and 12 rounds,” a police officer said.
Police said a case had been registered and investigations were taken up.
