Chandigarh, June 13: Light rains coupled with strong winds were witnessed in parts of Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula on Saturday, bringing much respite from the stifling heat.
The humidity level was high as temperature had soared up to 40 degrees Celsius in the tricity over the past few days.
The mercury is expected to reduce in the next few days as moisture-laden easterly winds due to the low-pressure area in the Bay of Bengal are expected to bring showers in the region.
