Srinagar, June 18: A militant was killed in an encounter in Pampore area of south Kashmir on Thursday.
The security forces had launched a search and cordon operation at Meej in Pampore following an input about the militants’ presence.
Police said the body of an unidentified militant was found from the area.
The operation is still under way.
