DM orders home delivery of grocery items in Udhampur
UDHAMPUR, MARCH 19: In order to avoid the gathering and social contact at grocery stores while collecting other essential items by the consumers District Magistrate Udhampur ordered for home delivery of grocery items in Udhampur.
After discussions with concerned stakeholders, mechanism for delivery of grocery items at home was finalized and retail grocery unit holders were directed to start home delivery of orders immediately. They were also instructed not to allow any gathering inside & outside the stores.
DM asked the retail store holders to establish a mechanism for home delivery of grocery items and to promote social distancing and to reduce gathering at their retail stores to contain the spread of COVID-19.
DM also ordered for closure of all shops/ business units except essential supplies units like fruits, vegetables, chemists, grocery and dairy.
