Pakistan drone shot down by BSF along IB in Kathua

Jammu/Kathua, June 20: The Border Security Force (BSF) on Saturday morning shot down a large-size Pakistan drone along the International Border (IB) in Rathua village of Hiranagar sector, Kathua district, Jammu and Kashmir. The incident took place at 5:15 am.

“At the Border out Post (BoP) Pansar area, the patrolling party of 19 Battalion of BSF spotted a drone flying in Rathua area. The alert BSF personnel fired wight to nine rounds and shot it down in the field of farmer Parshotam Lal,” sources said.

The sources claimed that the drone was fitted with cameras.

The BSF personnel have seized the drone. The BSF officials are yet to make a statement over the incident.

“Senior BSF and police officials have rushed to the area and are expected to make a statement soon,” sources said.

An investigation into the incident has been initiated.
