Aviation Ministry issues guidelines for resumption of domestic flights

New Delhi, May 21: The Aviation Ministry on Thursday issued guidelines for airlines, airports, passengers and other stakeholders.

Only passengers with confirmed web check-in could enter the airport; there would be no physical check-in at airport counters, the Aviation Ministry said.

Only one check-in bag would be allowed; airlines would not provide meal services in flights, the Aviation Ministry said.

It said the airlines would adhere to lower and upper limit of fares prescribed by the government during Covid-19 pandemic period.

It said the airlines would inform passengers that reporting time at airport is at least two hours before the scheduled time for the flight’s departure.

The boarding for flight will commence 60 minutes before departure and the boarding gate will be closed 20 minutes before the departure, the Aviation Ministry said. PTI
