DM Kishtwar orders partial relaxation in essential services

KISHTWAR, APRIL 22: With an aim to provide relief to the hardships faced by the public during this unavoidable lockdown, District Magistrate Kishtwar Rajinder Singh Tara ordered for partial or conditional relaxation in the various services/commodities.

As per the order, Medical shops shall remain open from 10:00 AM to 08:00 PM for all days of the week besides fruit and vegetable shops, milk and milk product shops, poultry/meat/fish shops along with the feed and fodder shops shall remain open on all the days of the week from 10:00 AM to 02:00 pm.

Further, all the stationary and mobile/computer shops shall remain operative on the Monday and Friday  from 10:00 AM to 02:00 PM only.

The grocery shops including Kiryana shops (retail and wholesale) shall open on the three days of the week i.e Monday, Thursday and Saturday from 10:00 AM  to 02:00 PM.

Besides all the load carriers shall be allowed to enter the premises of Kishtwar town only from 06:00 PM to 09:00 PM for unloading during this lock down period.

Keeping in view the safety of the public, conditions have been specified for all the customers as well as the shopkeepers to use mask and maintain the social distancing  along with the other protocols of COVID-19, failing with the permission will be revoked.

DDC Kishtwar suspends Lambardar for dereliction of duties

KISHTWAR, APRIL 22: While taking serious note of the dereliction of duties in providing timely information and fostering the social distancing protocol during the COVID-19 lockdown, District Development Commissioner Kishtwar Rajinder Singh Tara today placed Lambardar Cherji  under the suspension.

The action was taken on the basis of report received from Tehsildar Kishtwar who had reported that a marriage ceremony took place on 19th April 2020 in Halqa Cherji without obtaining any permission from the competent authorities in gross violations of the guidelines issued for social distancing.

Lambardar Halqa Cherji failed to report to the administration regarding the said marriage which is failure on the part of Lambardar to render assistance to the government.

Tehsildar Kishtwar Pramood Kumar has been  appointed as enquiry officer in the matter and he has been directed to submit the detail factual report  within two weeks positively with specific recommendation besides he is also directed to assign the charge of the Lamberdar Cherji to adjoining suitable Namberdar till further orders.
