DM Kishtwar appeals public to observe lock down
Inspects proposed administrative quarantine facilities in the district
KISHTWAR, MARCH 25: To ensure that the adequate utilities are well placed and to strengthen the preparedness for combating COVID-19 infections, District Magistrate Kishtwar, Rajinder Singh Tara, today inspected the Kendriya Vidyala school, NHPC Hospital Semina colony, DIET and the medical hospitals where the upcoming institutional quarantines are to be established to augment administrative quarantine facilities in the district.
He was accompanied by Additional District Development commissioner Mohammad Hanief Malik, Additional Deputy Commissioner Pawan Parihar among others.
The administrative quarantine will serve the purpose of providing additional 200 beds for which the procurement of bedding and other allied essentials like buckets, jugs, towel etc had been made by the district administration.
“Anybody unnecessarily venturing out of home shall be dealt with stringent action,” DM warned the people and also appealed the people of Kishtwar to cooperate with administration and follow the 21 days Nationwide lockdown announced by Prime Minister religiously by staying at home, maintaining social distancing and not venturing out on roads and streets.
He also appealed them to help in identifying persons who have foreign travel history by informing the administration through control room on the phone no:-01995-259555.
Kishtwar administration to facilitate home delivery of essential commodities
KISHTWAR, MARCH 25: In order to avoid any public gatherings and to prevent individual to individual contacts at LPG refill points, grocery shops and medical stores, District Magistrate Kishtwar, Rajinder Singh Tara today notified the list of shopkeepers along with their contact numbers for providing home delivery of essential commodities in wake of 21 days Nationwide lock down announced by Hon’ble PM for preventing the further spread on COVID-19.
The district administration has notified 96 shops, 05 gas agencies and other establishments along with their contact numbers for the convenience of the general public.
Besides, it has been strictly advised to the shopkeepers to avoid any kind of gathering during the process of delivery of commodities within or outside of their houses as the same could malign the mechanism under which home delivery has been arranged, DM said.
Further, in order to ensure the smooth delivery of essentials including medicines and LPG cylinders to the general public as per the requirement and to avoid any type of overcharging, hoarding and panic borrowings, DM has appointed AD FCS&CA Kishtwar (9797687888), Assistant Legal Metrology officer Kishtwar (9419157178) and designated Officer Food and Safety Kishtwar (9858555205) as Nodal officers to look after this mechanism. It was informed that any shopkeeper who voluntarily desires to provide the home delivery of the essentials may contact the nodal officers notified above for his/her inclusion in the list.
