Srinagar, June 25: Director Rural Sanitation J&K Tariq Hussain Ganai (KAS) today convened a meeting through Video Conference of Jammu province to review the physical and financial progress under Swachh Bharat Mission Gramin. The meeting was attended by Deputy Director Rural Sanitation Jammu, and all the District Panchayat Officers of Jammu province from their respective Headquarters.
During VC, the chair asked all the DPOs to ensure utilization of all the available funds under the scheme in a time bound manner strictly as per the guidelines of the scheme and directed to update the status of unspent balance of funds. He desired that all the physical targets under LOBs and NLOBs be completed by or before 31st of July 2020. He also reviewed progress on Solid Waste Management and GOBARDHAN project of Jammu Division and directed all the DPOs to identify suitable location in their respective Districts so that the work under this important component is taken up at an earliest. The DPOs were also directed to submit Audited Utilization Certificates of the funds received under SBM-G and Performance based Grants within a weeks time.
