Jammu, June 26: Five persons were killed on Friday when a car rolled down a deep gorge of Raghi nallah in Assar area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district.
According to the police, four bodies have been brought out of the gorge while search for another was in progress. The mishap occurred at 9.50 am.
This is the third major fatal road mishap on the “killer roads” of Chenab region in the past one week.
Yesterday, a car skidded off the road and fell into the Bhot nullah in Sangrala area of Paddar tehsil of Kishtwar district. Six persons of a family were missing and search operation had been launched to retrieve the bodies.
Last week, a tipper had also rolled down into Chenab in Kishtwar district that led to six persons missing and their bodies are yet to be recovered.
