National Secular Dorum ( NSF) demands to continue BVoc Toursim Course for the Youth of Jammu in CUJ

Jammu:26-05-20: National secular forum (NSF), writes to MHRD for calling for an enquiry against Blue-Eyed Nodal Officer CUJ, who has deliberately attempted to keep youth of Jammu aloof from the Job opportunities by stopping Bvoc Toursim Course.
National secular forum warns VC, Central University of Jammu Prof Ashok Aima to stop regular discrimination with the youth of Jammu. Taking cognizance of the issue raised in the report covered by reputed Daily Newspaper, raised by students of CUJ and youth of Jammu regarding the disparity being shown against them by the administration of the Central University of Jammu, NSF state president Dr. Vikas Sharma drew attention to discuss their stand on the issue.
The Central University of Jammu administration in a planned manner is depriving the youth of Jammu of the opportunities of vocational courses which has potential to create own ventures and generate employment in a UT where unemployment is a concern. While other universities like BGSBU and CUK are promoting these job-oriented vocational courses to make their students job-ready and get more opportunities in the future. It becomes very interesting to know that why a course has specifically been removed from Jammu while it is being offered in far off places like Rajouri which receives a miniscule of the portion of tourists which Jammu receives annually. Looking at the volume of tourists visiting Jammu every year on account of pilgrimage and leisure, the vocational course in tourism management at undergraduate level gives a wonderful opportunity for the people who want to get a job after their graduation or even after obtaining a relevant certificate or diploma as these courses are created keeping in view the demand of the industry and ensure maximum absorption of the candidates after they complete the course.
The Registrar of the University in his statement to a newspaper has admitted that he has no role in it and the course has been removed by the academic council. It has further been learned that the request of the Head of the Department and the faculty members to carry on with the course was also overlooked by the Vice-Chancellor to back the action taken by his blue-eyed Nodal Officer , who has knowingly done this act of discrimination with the youth of Jammu. Apart from being the Nodal officer, he has been given so many important position like Manager DIQA who plays important role in selection of faculty, Concurrent faculty in HRM Department, Manager – UBIC, Member Academic council , Member Court , Nodal officer at Community College and 28 projects out of 29 projects were given to him along with some other faculty members and he has been made part of all those positions which give him direct and indirect benefits over other senior staff members.
It is pertinent to mention here that during the tenure of Dr Shahid Mustaq as assistant professor (contractual)the salary of contractual faculty was increased at par with permanent faculty and he was even alloted MPhil-PhD scholars during his tenure of contractual assistant professor which was against the UGC guidelines however when he got permanent due to close proximity with Prof Ashok Aima, the salary of contractual assistant professor was not even reduced to 30,000 but changed the designation of Assistant Professor to Guest Faculty to reduce the career prospects in future.
The youth of Jammu has already been discriminated at various fronts and in the current scenario wherein the job opportunities of the youth have been taken away mercilessly by the administration of CUJ, NSF demand to reinstate the course as per past practice with utmost importance and immediate removal of the nodal officer with high level enquiry against nodal officer  who has been the main conspirator in this whole propaganda to derail the youth of Jammu from the path of progress and growth.
