Jammu ,May 31: An online cultural event under EBSB was organised by the Directorate of School Education Jammu, where in students from Tamil Nadu and Jammu participated while staying at home, using internet.
The program was organised by the EBSB cell of the Directorate of School Education Jammu. In the prevailing situation, an attempt has been made by Directorate to engage students in some goal oriented recreational activities and to carry forward the EBSB program, an outstanding initiative of Govt of India amid lockdown .
Director School Education Jammu Ms. Anuradha Gupta said that the main aim of organising the event was to celebrate India’s ethenic and linguistic diversity and to promote awareness about linguistic, cultural and spiritual diversity of the paired state.
She further said that students from both the places, J&k and Talmil Nadu showcased their culture through attractive performances and deserve immense praise for that.
The programm started with welcome note delivered by Mr Surjeet Singh Head of EBSB cell at Directorate of school Jammu. Ms Sunita fotedar State Nodal person for EBSB also participated in the event.
Dressed in traditional attire, students performed various colourful and wonderful activities like singing, dance, discussions etc. Students from both sides exchanged their ideas and discussed about how to further strengthen the bond of unity with the pairing State/UT.
At the end all the participants thanked Director School Education Jammu for organizing such a great cultural event and requested to organise such events in future also. Mr Nazir Ahmed Itoo Sr member of SEQM Cell, Ms Jaswinder Kour Division Nodal person PreSchool and Ms saguna ji I/C District Cultural cell Undhampur was also present in the program. The program was successfully coordinated by Mr Sohail Wani Member School Education Quality Management Cell( SEQMC) Directorate of School Education Jammu.
