UGC Sponsored Refresher Course in Entrepreneurship Development Concluded

Bhaderwah , March 04 : UGC sponsored Two Weeks “Refresher course on Entrepreneurship Development” 15-28, February 2021,jointly organised by The Business School,HRDC, and Bhaderwah Campus, University of Jammu concluded today here today with valedictory function.

Prof. Sameer Gupta, Director The Business School,Coordinator of the Refreshers Course, welcomed the invited guests and participants to the valedictory programme. He emphasised that during theRefreshers Course an effort has been made to sensitise the participantsabout Entrepreneurship Developmentso that these faculty memberscan act as ‘Resource Persons’ in guiding and motivating young students and scholars to take up Entrepreneurship as their career.

Prof. Sudhir K Jain, former Vice Chancellor, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, and Prof. Emeritus IIT, Delhi, was the Chief Guest in the valedictory function.Prof. S K Jain, who has served at the top administrative positions in reputed organisations in the country and has taught Intellectual Property Rights(IPRs) and Entrepreneurship in IIT Delhi for more than 25 years, enlightened the audience with the basic principles of starting a new venture. He further added that the Product Life Cycle Analysis is prerequisite for Business Opportunity Identification to get early mover advantage as done by Mr. Mahesh
Gupta, Founder-Chairman of Kent RO Systems Ltd., India’s leading water Purifier Company.Prof.Manoj K Dhar, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu, Chief Patron of the programme telephonically appreciated the efforts of organising team for organising a programme on a contemporary theme and the efforts made by them for its success.

While addressing the audience, Prof. Rahul Gupta, Director Human Resource Development Centre highlighted the importance of such courses for the holisticdevelopment of the faculty members and about the proactive approach of the HRDC for planning and organising many such courses in future. He said that this is the 105th refreshers course organised by HRDC, University of Jammu. He thanked all the participants for choosing HRDC, University of Jammu for their refresher courses.

More than forty faculty members from across the country including Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, along with participants from Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir have participated in the refreshers course. During these two weeks,there was a marathon discussion on the said theme covering different dimensions of the Entrepreneurship Development.

Abouttwenty resource persons from the top B-Schools and institutions of Indiaincluding Prof. Manoj Kumar from IIM Jammu, Prof. N D Mathur from Sikkim Manipal University, JaipurProf.Nimit Chowdhary from Jamia Millia Islamia, Prof. Sunil Sharma from FMS, Delhi, Prof.Subhendhu Dey
from Indus Business Academy Bangalore, Prof. A K Vashishtha from Panjab University, Chandigarh,Dr Sataya Ranjan, from EDII Ahmedabad, Dr Sanjeev Sharma and Dr Priya Gupta from JNU, besidesProf. Dipankar Sengupta,Prof.Hardeep Chahal,Prof.Vinay Chauhan and Prof. Alka Sharma from University of Jammu,Dr Suparn Sharma, Dr Saurabh and Dr Shazia Bhukhari from SMVDU, Dr Parvez Abdulla from BGSBU, Dr Tarun Soni and
Dr Akshita Arora delivered their talks and interacted with the
participants.

During the valedictory programme some of the participants, viz. Dr Lalit Verma, Veer Veeramdev. Govt. P.G. College, Jalore, Dr Pankaj Parikfrom S.N.M.T. Government Girls P.G. College, Jhunjhunu and Dr Vinay Sharma from BGSB Universityexpressed their viewsabout how they benefitted from the refresher course and congratulated the organising team for conducting the course flawlessly.

Dr Sunil Bhardwaj, Asst. Prof. and Deputy Coordinator of theProgramme gave a formal vote of thanks, thanking one and all who have contributed directly or indirectly for the successful conduct and completion of this course.
