Kathua: Chief Education Officer Kathua, Mr. Parkash Lal Thapa today inspected the working and functioning of various schools of the district kathua including Govt. HS Dinga Amb, Govt. MS Dhali, Govt. HSS Sallan, Govt. HS Danjasdhar. and Govt. HSS Nagrota Gujroo.
The CEO while interacting with the students and staff members laid stress on adherence to COVID19 guidelines in schools.
He took note of punctuality of the staff members and checked the attendance of staff, store stock, library, ICT Labs/CAL Centres, Solar Panel, Mid Day Meal details, Samagra shiksha grants utilization, facelifting of schools, verification of daily online/ community classes, and other aspects of day to day functioning and requirements of these schools.
The CEO asked the HOIs to constitute book banks in their respective institutions for students and start community classes while following proper COVID-19 guidelines issued by Government and engage the students in activities such as plantation drives and other environment allied exercises.
Later, the CEO visited Govt. High School Danjasdhar where a seminar was organised with teachers of Zone Bhaddu cluster joining in. The seminar was organised to disseminate information about various schemes launched by the Govt. Of India for the benefit of students, increase of enrolment in government schools and about new trends in modern education as per the New Education Policy (NEP) by providing thematic/activity based education in which BALA concept plays a vital role and was visible in Govt. HS Danjasdhar.
Mr. Thapa requested the teachers and other officials to work dilligently to mitigate the loss of studies resulting because of the closure of schools due to COVID-19 and help the students in every possible way.
