Jammu: A plantation drive was organized today at Government Girls High School Gandhinagar Jammu to infuse awareness about environment among the masses in general and students in particular. The event was organized under the initiative ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’ by the Directorate of School Education Jammu to commemorate the upcoming 75th Independence Day.
Mr. Suraj Singh Rathore, Chief Education officer Jammu was the Chief Guest on the occasion while Mr. Davinder Singh Manhas, Deputy CEO Jammu , was the Guest of Honour.
Speaking on the occasion, CEO Jammu, Mr Suraj Singh Rathore stressed on the importance of planting trees in order to safeguard the environment for a clean and healthy future.
Smt. Veena Tikoo, ZEO Gandhinagar, Mr.Kishore Sharma, Principal HSS Bhalwal, Mr. Darshan Sharma(Lecturer), Mr Narinder Singh Chib (Lecturer) and Mr. Ganesh Khajuria, I/C Headmaster GGHS Gandhi Nagar,
also graced the occasion.
