Jammu: As part of the series of event being conducted by the Directorate of School Education Jammu to commemorate the upcoming 75th Independence Day, a Plantation Drive was organised at Government Girls High School Sohanjana where in saplings were planted by the staff members of the school.
Chief Education Officer Jammu, Mr. Suraj Singh Rathore appreciated the efforts of the staff members of the school and asked them to continue working with zeal and dedication in order to contribute towards solving the problems of environment and allied issues.
The aim of the event which was organized on the directions of Dr. Ravi Shankar Sharma, Director School Education Jammu and under the able guidance of CEO Jammu was to kindle a sense of responsibility towards environment in the students so as to make the world a better place to live amongst growing concerns towards degrading global environment.
The drive was supervised by Mr. Yash Paul Mangotra, Headmaster, GGHS Sohagna, and Mr. Narinder Singh, Nodal Officer Jammu.
