Chandigarh: International women’s day was celebrated with full enthusiasm by Transmission System and System Operation organization at SLDC Complex, Industrial Area, Phase-I, BBMB, Chandigarh.
Chief Guest Mrs. Deepti Srivastava wife of Chairman, BBMB in her address stressed that women are capable of self empowerment. She also quoted examples of Brave women of Indian history such as Mata Gujri Ji and Kalpana Chawla. Er. Sanjay Srivastava, Chairman, BBMB appreciated the role of women in progress of BBMB. He also recognized the achievements of female officers of BBMB who are managing the project(s)/Power Houses/Substations/Hospitals independently. Female officers and employees of Transmission System & System Operation, BBMB, Chandigarh presented a cultural programme (Dance, songs, acting etc.) which was followed by various fun games/quiz etc.
Er. Harminder Singh Chugh, Member (Power) and Mr. Rajinder Kumar, FA&CAO were also present on the occasion. The celebration ended with vote of thanks by Er. B.S. Sabherwal, Chief Engineer, System Operation and Transmission System, BBMB, Chandigarh.
