DSEJ holds virtual consultation with Doctor on COVID-19 ( IPC)

Jammu: Counselling Cell DSEJ held 4th virtual consultation on COVID-19(Infection, Prevention and Control) as part of the series of webinars to be held on the topic. Dr. Ravi Shankar Sharma, Director School Education Jammu was the chief guest and Dr. Sanjeev Narang, Consultant Pulmonologist was the key Resource Person.
Dr. Ravi Shankar Sharma Director School Education Jammu highlighted the importance of such consultations when the department has already lost many of proud teachers and officials. He said that right information provided at the right time benefits and saves lives of many stakeholders.
He assured that counselling cell DSEJ will continue these series of webinars for the welfare of everyone. He extended his gratitude to Dr. Sanjeev Narang for his expert views and Mr. Danish Aziz, Education Specialist(J&K), UNICEF India for providing technical support.

Dr. Sanjeev Narang addressed various queries related to pulmonary diseases, asthma, bronchitis, tuberculosis, black fungus,covid infection, vaccination, prevention, control, fears, myths amidst a plethora of misinformation and sharp rise in number of covid cases and fatalities. He also asked the people to avoid self treatment and self medication as this dangerous and consult a doctor instead.
Pertinent to mention here that a silent prayer was held in the beginning to pay homage to educators and officials who lost their life while battling the viral infection.
Romesh Sharma, Head Counselling Cell DSEJ appreciated the active interaction between the doctor and the participants and assured to continue these psychobiological consultations during this pandemic time to boost the morale of all stakeholders.

Dr. Alka Sharma moderated the proceedings of the webinar whereas Dr. Surinder Sharma, Counsellor Shanti Saroop Sharma,Ms. Preeti Sharma, Ms. Bindu,Ms. Ruhi Kousar and Manan Mahajan, all members of Team Counselling coordinated in the smooth conduct of the session.
