Jammu 21 March :- Central Working Committee Jammu of All J&K Plus Two PSC Lecturer Association holds an emergency meeting and have detailed deliberation over overall educational scenario. The meeting was presided by its convenor Manjeet Chib and was attended by all district representatives. The CWC members discussed the educational scenario at length and highlighted the core issues. AS per hand out issued CWC members appreciated education department for fulfilling the demand of placement projected by lecturers’ association.
The CWC members raised the long pending genuine demand of Assured Career Progression ACP.They said that the proposal has already been recommended by the department and the file of ACP is lying with finance department. The CWC Jammu urged Hon’ble Lt.Governor to intervene and passed necessary instruction to finance department for extending benefits of Assured career progression to +2 cadre. It is our basic right to be brought at par with the lecturers of other states and UT, s.It is sheer injustice with the cadre that +2 lecturers’ are denied of career progression ,they added. They said that in order to streamline the system the department has to work hard to resolve all the pending issues in a time bound manner.
The cwc members said that the current academic session has now been started and +2 lecturers have the capacity to compensate the academic loss of the students. They said that the teaching fraternity has played important role in facilitating the students during Covid 19.The members said that the department has initiated online transfer process in order to ensure transparency and is in fact a welcome step but it should be completed as early as possible so that academic session may not get disturbed. They said that the department should regularize all the officers of school education department including joint directors,CEO,s,IC Principals and ZEO,s.The CWC members appealed Hon’ble advisor Bhatnagar and Administrative Secretary B.K Singh to promote senior lecturers for the post of principal so that the schools which are headless may function smoothly and properly. Manjeet Chib the convenor CWC Jammu urged the department to engage qualified youth on academic arrangements so that the studies of the students may not suffer any more. Manjeet Chib expressed satisfaction over the placement order issued recently. He said that it is for the first time that department has placed 1700 lecturers as senior lecturer which will boost +2 lecturers to work with more dedication. Plus two lecturers are committed to raise the standard of quality education and to deliver their best in the class but it is imperative to boost them by providing financial incentives in the form of ACP.They who were present in the meeting were Rishi Manhas, Sandeep Sharma, Dr. Sanjay Arora, Vinod Bamrotra,Sanjay Sharma,Sandeepan Gupta,Harpal Singh,Gurpreet Singh, Abdul Rehman,Brijnandan Jamwal,Swarn Singh,Radhika,Vanita.
