Electricity Crisis Over As Employees Call Off Strike
21 Dec: PDD employees across Jammu and Kashmir have called off their strike after Government assures to take up their genuine demands.
Electricity, water supply and other essential services are expected to be restored soon, ending the crisis in the Union Territory.
Earlier, Government had called in army, police, REC, NTPC and NHPC personnel for help but could not restore electricity and many areas in the UT remained in dark along with sending essential services like water supply etc., which are dependent on electricity, in a complete disarray.
