Director School Education Jammu Pays Surprise Visits To Schools In Jammu

Jammu: Director School Education Jammu, Dr. Ravi Shankar Sharma today paid surprise visits to schools in Jammu zone  to evaluate and get a first hand account of the working of the institutions. He was accompanied by the Chief Education Officer Jammu, Mr. Suraj Singh Rathore and other officials of the Education Department.

Dr.  Ravi Shamkar Sharma visited Government Higer Secondary School Muthi along with the team and inspected the newly constructed building of the school.

He instructed the head of the institution to get the building in working condition as soon as possible so that it could be put to use for the students.

The visiting team interacted with the students and staff members to ascertain their views about the ongoing teaching-learning process and the changes and improvements that need to be made to improve the overall functioning of the institution.

It is pertinent to mention here that schools have reopened after a gap of about two years causing a huge loss to the students and it has brought in a change in the teaching-learning process with online medium becoming an important part and parcel of the process, springing up newer challenges for the students as well as teachers alike. Dr. Ravi Shamkar Sharma asked the teachers to adapt to the changed scenario and help the students to get acclimatized to the changed atmosphere.


He asked the teaching community to accept the technology whole heartedly and train themselves accordingly so that the benefits can be passed on to the students.

Director School Education Jammu visited Government Higher Secondary School Nawabad also wherein he inspected the classrooms, laboratories, computer room, play ground and the newly constructed rooms as well, along with his team.

Interacting with the students and staff members, he reminded everyone to put in efforts with sincerity so that the loss of education suffered by the students because of the Covid 19 pandemic can be mitigated to some extent. He assured the students and the staff members that no stone will be left unturned when it comes to helping the students and staff members.

He congratulated the teaching community for putting up a brave front against the Covid pandemic and continuing to teach the wards even when the pandemic was at its peak.

By carrying on with their duties without any fail and without any fear, the teaching community has once again proved its dedication, commitment,  sincerity and the zeal to work towards the betterment of the students even during the worst possible adverse condition.


He asked the staff members to continue with the same commitment and give in their hundred percent to maximize the benefits for the students in particular and society in general.
